twestival local - Tweet.Meet.Give. - March 24, 2011

We would like to take this opportunity to thank Christine Teoh, to lead the team to raise funds for NASAM. It's was her passion for charity that she took up this role. She just graduated from Form 5 while waiting for her results when she decided to take the great challenge of this role. All things are possible when you put your heart and mind to it. 

With her courgage and passion, she included three more people in her team to assist her. They are none other than CJ Tan, Tammy Khoo and Jennifer Cheah. Besisdes that, we also have a great team of volunteers and they are Jason Gan, Shoggy Teoh, Tjun Chye, Louis Quah, Jaine Cheng, Khai Loon, Shaw Jhee, Wei Fong, and Dennis.

We are honoured to have Mr John Ong from Penang Hokkien Podcast in our midst. He had supported us in many ways such as purchasing 3 tickets for his listeners and himself. Besides that, he also auctioned for Danai Spa's voucher and Gin and Jacqie's travel Wallet.

During the Penang  Twestival, he had a live podcast session with Mr Chan from NASAM and majority of the people who attended Twestival. If you missed the podcast session, kindly got to penanghokkien.com You won't want to miss out the fun!

The final total that we raised on 24 Mac 2011 from Penang Twestival is :

That is approximately about USD $ 2400 . We would like to thank everyone for their support. Within two weeks, which it is not an easy task to do, we are able to collect a total sum RM7750 for NASAM.

 8.05pm

our event official start and we kick off with our MC @tjunchye. He is welcome everyone to join @penangtwestival party and explain about NASAM and the Sponsors. Next we have our Penang Twestival Leader in 2011, Miss @christineblues. She thanks everyone to join this party and hope everyone have a great time here.

Follow up MC introduce Mr Chan, from NASAM which is we support this organization this year. Mr Chan thanks everyone and introduction about NASAM and how to prevent Stoke. Everyone is listening very details from Mr Chan explanation.

8.30pm

After Mr Chan finish the speech, we shall have the lucky draw and auctions presentation. Our DJ Orange K come just in time to show off the DJ music and it was awesome.

Our AV guy are trying very hard to get connected to the projector to show NASAM video and our Twestival Local Live page. Due to technical issue, the NASAM Video doesn't play complete smoothly and we are unable to do livestream with Twestival Global team. 

9.00pm

Party still continue as someone is Dancing with MC. Everyone just having a great time and also have their snacks. We really thanks to Sticks management who sponsor the snacks and drinks. 

9.30pm

 Penang Hokkien @johnong is doing a podcast outside the bistro. Everyone really enjoy this as we also the first time to see how is podcast is being done. Mr Chan also delighted to see this technology success to broadcast message to everyone by Twestival.

10pm

Once podcast is finish, everyone is back to the bistro and we shall continue to have Lucky draw and auctions. Around 10.30pm, we announce the total donation we have received at that time and it's a total of RM 7680. We are delighted to receive this news and send the donation to Mr Chan. Lastly our MC thanks to everyone for the kind donation and hope to see everyone on next Twestival. The event finish around 10.30pm and the DJ keep playing the music.... 

Today is the day where every Twestival Event will be start worldwide. We are excited and cannot wait to meet everyone tonight.

The first event will be held from Auckland . Please do follow them @TwestivalAKL to get the updates right now. Next will have Australia and then coming to Bandar Seri Begawan, Manila , Hong Kong , Jakarta , Singapore and  Malaysia where PenangTwestival , twestivalKL and KKtwestival will be start the event nearly at the same time zone. We also welcome anyone or  other Twestival country to check it out our live blog later.
